VAM Services removed the existing carpet, prepared the exposed floors, and installed approximately 1,800 square feet of LVP flooring throughout the home, including the second floor and staircase.
Removing carpet and preparing the floors
After the carpet was removed, the exposed surfaces were sanded and inspected. Uneven areas were filled with leveling compound to create a more stable base for the new LVP. Careful preparation was important because the finished floor needed to run consistently through multiple rooms and levels.
Installation throughout the home and staircase
The new LVP was installed across the main living areas, the second floor, and the staircase. The layout was continued between rooms so the home would have a more consistent finished appearance.
The project also included approximately 380 linear feet of quarter-round installation and three bathroom transition thresholds. The transitions helped connect the new flooring with the existing bathroom surfaces.
A durable finish for rental use
The finished LVP created a continuous, practical surface throughout the home. Replacing the carpet made the property easier to clean and maintain between tenants while giving the interior a more current appearance.
This was a repeat-client project. VAM Services had previously completed work at approximately four other properties owned by the same client.
